It's already time to start Christmas shopping. I'm still waiting for summer...where does the time go?
I give the best gifts. No, really, it's true. Everyone says so. I think it's because I put a lot of thought into the gifts I give. I make sure it's something meaningful, or at the very least something the person collects or is interested in. I really hate the thought of giving money or a gift card. This year's a little more difficult as I'm 'p'. (Nope not even 'poor'...just 'p') So it's a little tougher, and a little disheatening, to come up with great gifts this year. I have most of them figured out. Good? Yes, maybe. Great? Nope. Oh well. I know all the people I give gifts to love me and it really doesn't matter what I give them, but still, it does some serious bruising to the ego.
It's also a little tough to find gifts for those that you don't know really well, but would like to give a gift to anyway. How do you give a gift based on an inside joke, or a hobby, when you haven't known them long enough? I always seem to have those one or two random people every year. Usually I'll see something and go "Oh! that's perfect". Let's hope it works out that way this year.
